Who told you to “Get over it!”? Sunday Mourning Tea

Who told you to “Get over it!” ?
Most of us have suffered the devastating loss of a loved one. The grief sometimes sticks in our hearts in ways that are indescribable to others. Often, we keep these feelings, references, and stories to ourselves for fear of being judged as stuck, morbid, or boring. We may have experienced the impatient body language, maybe even some eye-rolling, from those around us who believe that we should have already moved on from grieving.

We know you miss them. We know that some deaths change us forever, that while things may get better, we are never truly ‘over’ such a loss. We also believe that what is remembered, lives.

So, in honor of your deceased loved one, we invite you to join us 1/29/17 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. Please bring a framed photo or a memento of your Beloved Dead to place on our Memorial Altar. Have a cup of tea and, perhaps, share your story of love and loss with us.

Tea and treats will be provided. Donations to help cover the cost of refreshments are gratefully accepted.
